After a comprehensive discussion, Vice Dean Chen Wei gave a brief summary of the exchange. Firstly, for the management of Chinese interns, our college will further promote the construction of mixed teaching environment facilities, and urge counselors of all majors to understand and identify with the differences of international students in terms of learning basis, cultural concepts, behavioral habits and ideological understanding on the basis of convergent management mode. Secondly, in terms of internal construction, each second-level college should continue to strengthen the construction of special majors and curriculum systems, improve the carrying capacity of the international education platform, and at the same time, rely on the “Belt and Road” Business Alliance and other effective ways to promote the exchange with overseas institutions and improve the outward radiation effect of the full English model curriculum. Thirdly, in terms of student management, counselors/class teachers of each second-level college need to pay more attention to the daily study life and thought dynamics of international students and do a good job in guiding public opinion. The College of International Education will also actively organize various kinds of student activities to strengthen their awareness of studying in SBS and studying in Shanghai.

Secondly, she made corresponding guidance on enrollment and teaching work. First, in response to the unsatisfactory effect of online teaching, the College of International Education, together with the Information Office and the Office of Academic Affairs, should carry out teaching in a hybrid online and offline format for courses with a small number of domestic international students. Secondly, for the difficult problem of thesis quality of Chinese-taught students, each college should give appropriate guidance according to the characteristics of international students. Thirdly, the coverage of Chinese enrollment majors should be comprehensively promoted, and the second-level colleges should be consulted more in the admission process to improve the quality of international students. Finally, she put forward specific ideas on the direction of the follow-up work.Firstly, systematically constructing an all-English major and curriculum system to realize communication and interaction with students from overseas institutions.Secondly, constructing the international student service support system in a dimensional way, enhancing the comfort and satisfaction of study abroad life in terms of dormitory resource allocation and personalized living facilities provision. Thirdly, building the international education network system professionally, relying on the advantageous resources of foreign aid bases, laying out joint study sites in different continents, establishing cooperation mechanisms such as mutual recognition of credits and exchange of teachers and students, promoting the construction of international business alliances, and accelerating the “introduction” and “going out” of education cooperation withthe“Belt and Road” countries.
